CRAS Inc. has worked on more than 20 wind generating farms across Canada ranging from the East Coast Maritime Provinces through to Alberta. Projects have included exterior and internal tower repairs, exterior nacelle inspections, blade inspections and repairs, and internal wall cleaning due to gear box explosion.
We are able to perform blade inspections and repairs, interior and exterior cleaning, and onsite rescue training. We can also carry out ultrasonic non-destructive testing to investigate if any damage is present in the wind turbine blades. Ultrasonic inspection can reveal flaws quickly and reliably. The main advantage of ultrasound scanning is that it enables us to see beneath the surface and check the laminate for dry glass fibre and delamination.
Our personnel can reach nearly any interior or exterior surface of a wind turbine quickly and easily, to perform almost any task utilizing certified IRATA rope access techniques.

Canadian Rope Access Specialists working at McLean’s Mountain Wind Farm
“Just thought I would let you know the company you hired to clean E007 “Canadian Rope Access Specialist “, wrapped up Friday. Today was the first opportunity I had to inspect the work they performed and I must say I was thoroughly impressed, they did an excellent job , probably 98% of all trace of the oil from the tower walls, ladder, decks, everything is spotless, E007 looks like the other 46 towers. Thank you.”
