Canadian Rope Access Specialists would like to thank everyone involved in our first S.P.R.A.T. level 1 course for helping make it a great success. Of our 7 students 6 passed their first evaluation attempt, assessed by independent S.P.R.A.T. evaluator Dave Nettle. Mr. Nettle is theTechnical Director and an Instructor with Ropeworks in RenoNevada; he is also an IRATA Level III Technician. Dave Nettle gave our students and facility a glowing review saying he was very comfortable with the student’s safe performance of rope access techniques.
We are pleased to announce Canadian Rope Access Specialists has moved to a new training facility and will soon be offering Industrial Rope Access and related courses to the public on a monthly basis. Our first course will be a SPRAT level 1 Rope Access course offered in February 2009. Exact dates and enrolment information will be posted on our website shortly.
Canadian Rope Access Specialists will soon be offering SPRAT and IRATA training of all levels as well as training in First aid, Confined Space Work and Rescue, Fall Arrest, and other skills applicable to Industrial Rope Access work.
Our new facility is located in the water front area of North Vancouver and has over 30000 cubic feet of dedicated indoor training area to simulate a variety of industrial environments. CRAS will provide students with all of the required equipment for courses, which has been selected for optimal performance and safety in a variety of environments.
