Canadian Rope Access Specialists Inc. is a Canadian owned IRATA member Operations and Training company incorporated in early 2007. Our main office and internationally recognized training facility opened in North Vancouver B.C. in early 2009, with our second office and training location opened in Montreal in 2013. We also have satellite offices in Cobourg (Greater Toronto), Calgary and Halifax, providing rope access services across the nation.
Our dual certified SPRAT/IRATA technicians work across Canada from West Coast to East, and have worked on high profile projects such Science world, Canada Place, B.C. Place, The eye of the wind, the CN tower, Hydroelectric Penstocks and dams.
Our Rope Access Specialists are SPRAT and IRATA certified and are qualified at all levels. We comply with the industries strict requirements for Safety, Quality, Training, and Work Practices and carry full insurance.
Our technicians are highly trained and experienced, undergoing a strict selection process prior to taking their place as part of our team. Teams are selected according to work scope requirements and specific job skills. They are supported by a comprehensive range of industrial safety and rope access equipment.
We use back-up fall arrest systems to eliminate danger in the unlikely event of our primary means of support fail. All teams hold current First Aid certificates and have emergency training.

Chris Dupuis Purdy
Chris is the owner and CEO of Canadian Rope Access Specialists, which he founded in 2007. Chris has over 20 years experience working on highly rope trained rope teams, and has supervised a wide variety of complex projects, both on and offshore. Chris is a Level 3 IRATA Instructor and SPRAT Certified Technician.
Chris has a life long background in rope oriented skill such as rock climbing, wall climbing, mountaineering and sailing. This gives him a broad understanding of rope systems, bolstering his rope access skills and knowledge.
Chris currently lives in Cobourg Ontario, 1 hour from downtown Toronto.
